K&N intake systems replace your vehicle?s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction allowing more air to your engine. On K&N's in-house Dynojet dynamometer the Typhoon (Part Number 69-7201TP) produced gains of 10 HP. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine?s RPM range. The K&N 69-Series Intake Kit for the 2005 Pontiac GTO consists of a aerodynamically-designed filter that has a chrome top with the K&N logo stamp. It is 6 inches tall and has a base diameter of 7 1/2 inches.

As with all K&N High-Flow Air Filters, the element included with the Typhoon Intake Kit for the GTO is washable and re-usable. K&N recommends cleaning the filter every 100,000 miles (depending on driving conditions).
